Piena solidarietà a Marcos Bekris presidente del sindacato Enedep portuali del Pireo I portuali che rifiutano la guerra non si toccano
E’ giunta oggi la notizia che il nostro amico e compagno Markos Bekris, presidente del sindacato Enedep, fortemente rappresentativo dei portuali del Pireo, è stato incriminato per aver bloccato un anno fa container di proiettili da caricare su una nave diretta al porto di Haifa in Israele.
Quindi, bloccare armi chiaramente dirette ad alimentare il genocidio di un popolo non è un’opera di pace ma un reato che va represso, questo perché compromette alleanze internazionali nonché il piano di distruzione di migliaia di vite umane per annettere terre su cui speculare.
USB esprime a nome di tutti i portuali e di tutti i lavoratori e lavoratrici italiani che stanno condividendo con noi la battaglia per il lavoro per la pace e non per la guerra, la piena e fattiva solidarietà al fratello e compagno Markos e a tutto il sindacato Enedep.
Una solidarietà che vuole essere fattiva ed internazionale, partendo da tutti i porti che hanno condiviso la dichiarazione “I portuali non lavorano per la guerra” del 26 settembre per porti di pace, liberi dalle armi, contro il genocidio palestinese e la guerra.
I portuali che rifiutano il genocidio e la guerra non si toccano!
I porti sono e devono restare luoghi di pace! Giù le mani da Marcos!

Hands off from dockworkers who reject war!
News arrived today that our friend and comrade Markos Bekris, president of the Enedep union, which strongly represents the dockworkers of Piraeus, has been charged with blocking a shipment of bullets a year ago that was to be loaded onto a ship bound for the port of Haifa in Israel.
Therefore, blocking weapons clearly intended to fuel the genocide of a people is not an act of peace but a crime that must be suppressed because it compromises international alliances and the plan to destroy thousands of lives in order to annex land for speculation.
On behalf of all dockworkers and all workers who are sharing with us the battle for work for peace and not for war, USB expresses its full and active solidarity with our brother and comrade Markos and the entire Enedep union.
This solidarity aims to be effective and international, starting from all ports that shared the declaration “Dockers do not work for war” on 26 September for ports of peace, free from weapons, against palestinian genocide and all wars.
